Horse riding is a risk sport and handling horses can be dangerous. We take care to ensure that our horses and ponies are well trained and reliable. Horses are hired to the rider with the understanding that YOU RIDE ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
In the event that a rider is not capable of the riding level required for a particular trek, Dingle Horse Riding reserves the right to request that that rider joins a trek that suits their ability and no refund. Determining the level of experience and suitability of a rider is done at the sole discretion of Dingle Horse Riding.
‘The Wild Atlantic Beaches & Great Blasket Island trails’ require intermediate to advanced riding ability. Dingle Horse Riding will assess all riders in the arena before departure. If a rider is not capable of the riding ability required, Dingle Horse Riding reserves the right to request that the rider be placed on a trek that suits their ability. Determining the riders ability is done at the sole discretion of Dingle Horse Riding.
Bookings are accepted on the basis that riders do not suffer from any illness or disability which could prejudice their safety on horseback.
All treks are subject to availability. Dingle Horse Riding reserves the right to cancel and reschedule treks, In the event that we make a cancellation you will be refunded.
All trek itineraries and routes are approximate. Occasionally weather conditions dictate that they be changed. Itineraries are subject to change at the sole discretion of Dingle Horse Riding.
Dingle Horse Riding will not be responsible for loss or damage of personal items during any of our treks.
BOOKING POLICY & CONDITIONS
All rides must be booked and paid for in advance.
Our Six Day Post-to-post Dingle Peninsula Trail Ride must be booked as early as possible. If the booking is made 31 days or more or prior to departure, a 25% deposit is payable at the time of booking and the balance is due 30 days prior to departure. If the booking is made 30 days or less prior to departure, the total balance is due at the time of booking.
‘Our Wild Atlantic Beaches & Great Blasket Island trails’ should also be booked at least a week in advance. Balance is due at time of booking.
Shamrock trails can be booked up to 24 hours before the trek departs. Balance is due at time of booking.

CANCELLATION CONDITIONS
Treks go out rain or shine. In the event that DINGLE HORSE RIDING has to cancel a trek you will be refunded for your trail.
In the event that you have to cancel a trek for any reason, cancellation fees will be calculated as follows:
For Post-To-Post Trail Rides:
Cancellation 31 or more days prior to departure: Deposit retained
Cancellation 30-15 days prior to departure: 50% of Total Balance retained
Cancellation 14 days or less prior to departure: 100% of Total Balance retained
The Gaeltacht River & Beach trial and the Wild Atlantic Beaches & Great Blasket Island trails:
Cancellation 28 or more days prior to departure: Deposit retained
Cancellation 28-15 days prior to departure: 50% of Total Balance retained
Cancellation 14 days or less prior to departure: 100% of Total Balance retained
Shamrock Trails:
Cancellation 48 hours or less prior to departure: 100% of Total Balance retained
Full payment will be taken for treks cancelled on the day or failure to turn up at the scheduled time.
CONDITIONS APPLYING TO CHANGE OF BOOKING
In the event that you need or want to change your booking, a fee of 10% of the total balance due may be charged per person for each change made. If the alteration is made 30 days or less prior to departure, the cancellation charges above may apply.
- Non disclosure of a pre existing injury or condition that becomes apparent anytime during a trail : dismount immediately – no refund will apply.
